Foodlab N.V.
A redesign for the maker of Aladey cassava fries and pasta in Paramaribo: a bilingual, product-led site rebuilt from the ground up in two to three days.

Good product.
Dated shop window.
Foodlab N.V. has been turning Surinamese raw materials into finished food since 2016, and makes the Aladey range: cassava fries, cassava chunks, and penne, fusilli and macaroni from local flour. The company already had a website, but it no longer matched the products on the shelf or the way people find them. We rebuilt it from the ground up: a product-led site that reads as appetising to a shopper and as credible to a distributor, in both languages the country shops in.
A website redesign for a food producer in Suriname
Photography of the actual product, the Aladey colours, and one clear route to the range.
Food first
The fries and the pasta carry the page. Photography of the real product, shot against the brand's own warm palette, rather than stock kitchen imagery.
Two ranges, two paths
Cassava leads on the home page and pasta gets a page of its own, so a shopper looking for one never has to wade through the other.
Part of the group, clearly
A Big Will Group badge sits on the page and links out, so trade visitors can see the parent company without it competing with the Aladey brand.
The site, section by section
Landing, product use case, the three pastas, the pasta page, the full range, the creative banner and contact: the finished site as delivered.

On every screen
Made for the shelf and the phone
Most visitors meet this brand on a phone, standing in a shop or scrolling a feed. The product photography, the range and the language switch are laid out for that screen first.
- English and Dutch
- Both languages are built in, each with its own address, so either can be shared and found.
- Five products, fully described
- Cassava fries, chunks, penne, fusilli and macaroni, each with the detail a buyer asks for.

Questions about this project
How long did the redesign take?
Two to three days from brief to launch, covering the design, the development and the search setup.
What did the project include?
Web design, development and SEO: a bilingual English and Dutch site with a home page for the cassava range and a dedicated pasta page, product detail for all five Aladey products, and product and organisation structured data. Built in plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript with no framework or dependencies.
Why does the site show the Big Will Group badge?
Foodlab N.V. is a production company within the Big Will Group, and its raw materials come from sister companies in the same group. The badge makes that relationship visible to trade visitors without pulling attention away from the Aladey brand.
